L’hôtel Les Arcades est un établissement non-fumeurs installé dans le centre de Genève, en face de la gare de Cornavin. Le lac Léman et la vieille ville se trouvent à 10 minutes à pied. Vous bénéficierez gratuitement d'une connexion Wi-Fi haut débit dans tout l'établissement.

Toutes les chambres sont insonorisées. Elles sont dotées d'une télévision par câble, d'un ventilateur et d'un minibar. Leur salle de bains est pourvue d'un sèche-cheveux.

Cross Training Management

This role reports to the Hotel Manager and receives further mentoring and direction from your colleagues who work alongside you to give the highest levels of front-line customer care to hotel guests, ensuring a smooth working environment and the delivery of great customer service.

Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, the Intern is responsible for preparing and assembling breakfast for hotel guests, ensuring that all rooms are cared for and inspected in accordance with standards, processing guest bills via cash, debit, and credit transactions, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of hotel areas.

Missions :  

1. (general) Ensures superior front-line customer service, contentment, and a positive guest experience by creating a welcoming environment and providing exceptional service to all guests.

  • Assisting guests with tourism-related issues in Geneva. 
  • Resolving complaints. 
  • Answering phone calls as needed. 
  • Performing extra duties as needed.

2. (Housekeeping) Ensures hotel cleanliness and professional presentation in public and behind-the-scenes areas, including checking and ensuring all rooms meet standards.

3. (Breakfast service). To ensure guest satisfaction, provide high-quality food and beverages by maintaining and breaking down the breakfast buffet, ensuring all guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well-attended, washing dishes as they arrive, thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and breakfast area, keeping storage and breakfast inventories, and cleaning machines and equipment as needed.

4. (Reception). Efficiently provide great customer service and improve client experience by:

  • Managing guest check-ins and outs.
  • Processing guest bills for cash, debit, and credit transactions.
  • Responsible for front office maintenance, including desk cleaning and stationery resupply.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and reservations departments to perform assigned tasks.
  • Improve time management skills.
  • Complete all Reception Checklist activities.
  • Understanding reservation systems and PMS MEWS, the latest hotel reservation system.
  • Identifying different sorts of bookings.
  • Understanding corporate and government booking rates and why they remain steady.
  • Entering leisure bookings via walk-in, phone, and email.
  • Understanding the distinction between Group Booking, FIT Booking, and Room Blocking.
  • Respond to e-mails by checking availability and providing a confirmation number.
  • Storing emails.

5. (Night Auditor)

Your duties will be the following: Greeting guests, take care of late check-in and early check-out.

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby and kitchen. Especially looking around the halls to ensure the quietness of the guests.
  • Iron 8/10 sheets, folding towels and prepare breakfast, and make sure mise en place on time.
  • Record the information of guests in the computer.
  • Responding to emergencies such as customer's medical issues, security…

Number of positions: 2
Salary monthly Brut CHF 2385.- with 13th salary will be added per month.
Vacation flexibility. 
Work independently in a welcoming environment and acquire experience with the latest digital reservation system. 
Strong understanding of overall in a small-scale hotel organization. 
A one-month-ahead timetable is prepared.
