Join an innovative team at IFP Energies Nouvelles!
We are looking for a motivated and passionate student for a 6-month internship focused on numerical simulation applied to a key area of green chemistry and recycling.
Are you passionate about numerical challenges and advanced simulation tools? Do you want to contribute to innovative solutions in the field of bio-based chemistry and recycling? This internship is the perfect opportunity for you!
Context
With the rise of bio-based chemistry and the circular economy, liquid-liquid extraction has become an essential solution for separating molecules of interest. This process, particularly used for thermosensitive or non-volatile compounds, is an alternative to distillation or crystallization.
At IFP Energies Nouvelles (IFPEN), we develop advanced numerical tools to design efficient extraction columns. Through CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations, we optimize processes while reducing costs and physical experiments.
Integrated into a dynamic and innovative research environment at IFP Energies Nouvelles, you will actively participate in work on the simulation of the hydrodynamics of a liquid-liquid extraction column with perforated plates, using the ANSYS Fluent software.
Your missions will include:
