Communications Coordinator Intern

As a business association, our staff is highly skilled and dedicated to developing programmes and solutions for large corporations. We employ a diversified workforce based in five regions.

Our people make us the effective, influential and successful organisation we are today. We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to support the implementation of the communication strategy and key strategic initiatives of the CGF.

The coordinator should support all communications activities, promoting the work of the CGF initiatives and under the supervision of the communications manager.

Focus Project Responsibilities

Forest Positive Annual Report

  • Support the implementation and evaluation of the annual report communications plan
  • Update and maintain content on the Forest Positive web pages including data entry and report formatting
  • Manage and update stakeholder contact lists and databases for communication purposes

Sustainable Retail Summit

  • Support the implementation and evaluation of the marketing and communication plan for the Sustainable Retail Summit before, during, and after the event
  • Assist in the creation and coordination of event-related content and materials across digital channels including across the website, social media and e-newsletters

Acceleration Areas Campaign

  • Coordinate campaign activities, ensuring alignment with overall communication strategy
  • Assist in developing and disseminating campaign content across various channels
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise campaign impact

GFSI Event Communications

  • Support the implementation and evaluation of the marketing and communication plan for the GFSI Summit before, during, and after the event
  • Assist in the creation and coordination of event-related content and materials across digital channels including across the website, social media and e-newsletters

General Responsibilities

  • Draft and schedule on brand content for The CGF’s communication channels, as required including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and social media
  • Support the handling of day-to-day media coverage and partner requests, with the support of the CGF’s PR agency and internal teams, as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate social media channels / email campaigns
  • Support colleagues to maintain content on the organisations website so it is accurate, up-to-date and engaging
  • Work closely with the communications, and other teams to ensure cohesive communication strategies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of communication plans and strategies.

Requirements:

A graduate (or of equivalent educational standard) in Communication, Journalism

  • Native-level oral and written English.
  • Service-oriented, flexible, resourceful
  • A strong team player
  • General understanding of FMCG business on an international level is a plus
  • Familiarity with stakeholder relations in this context
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Willing to learn with an intellectual capacity to understand the political and diplomatic challenges of the programmes
  • Meticulous organisational skills, rigorous and an eye for detail
  • IT literate - MS Office/Internet essential; Adobe Suite experience an advantage

The position is based at CGF headquarters in Levallois-Perret (as of July 2024).
