The purpose of the MSc in Strategic Tourism Management is to prepare students for management and marketing responsibilities in a rapidly changing world tourism environment. The approach is transversal, integrative, and multidisciplinary rather than sectordriven (i.e., built around tourism sectors such as transportation, hospitality or attractions).
The program focuses on global strategic tourism issues and techniques that can be applied to a variety of professional contexts. The specific objectives of the program are to further develop your leadership skills, to give you an understanding of strategic tourism issues, and to provide you with management, marketing and knowledge management tools so that you become effective actors of the largest economic sector in the world. Specialty areas cover event management and business tourism as well as the application of technological tools in tourism marketing.
